Hormone-free IUD
Gynefix is a hormone-free copper-based IUD that is placed inside the uterus to prevent pregnancy. Four copper beads are lined up on the string and take up minimal space in the uterus thanks to its compact design. The copper it contains is released into the uterus, disrupting the sperm's mobility and preventing it from fertilizing the egg. In this way, pregnancy is safely prevented.
Gynefix is suitable for all women, whether they have given birth or not, thanks to its unique design and flexible structure. It adapts to different types of uterus and offers safe protection. The long version, which includes six beads, provides extra protection for women who have given birth more than three times. Dr. Ebru Ünal is the first physician to perform the Gynefix placement in Turkey and is also an educator who has taught this method to many gynecologists.
