Vaginismus Treatment
Vaginismus is a condition in which a woman is unable to have sexual intercourse due to involuntary tightening of her pelvic floor muscles. The muscles at the entrance to the vagina contract uncontrollably, preventing the penis from entering the vagina. This can cause severe pain and emotional stress in women.
At Dr. Ebru Ünal Clinic, vaginismus treatment has been performed with botulinum toxin injection into the pelvic floor muscles since 2008. This method was first applied in Turkey by Dr. Ebru Ünal and taught to her other colleagues. So far, we have seen that more than 500 women have managed to have painless intercourse with this treatment.
